Help is always required in school at different times, depending on what is going on.
If you have time to commit to help in class or to hear pupils read on a regular weekly basis, then please contact the Admin Team who will ask you what you are interested in, for the time you can commit and your contact information. This will be passed onto the teaching staff who will come back to you.
If you would like to help but have limited opportunities, then maybe school trips, making costumes for performances, occasional cooking lessons, or art lessons, talking to the pupils about your job or making templates at home for arts & craft are all equally valuable to the staff at the school.
To help in school you will need to be cleared through the schools procedures first. All helpers who are helping in school will need to complete an Identity Check. If you are helping on a regular basis or wish to attend a school trip you also need to be cleared through an Enhanced DBS check, administered by the council.
The school takes safeguarding seriously.
