We have changed the setting and instead of classes, we mixed 4A and 4B into ability groups to ensure they all have as much learning and improving their skills as possible in the given time. Than you for your patience at the pick up time, we are working on being more punctual on swimming days too.
Children come to school in PE kits on both days. Please remove earring on PE days.
Hair should be tied back.
New spellings will be handed out on Friday and tested the following Friday. The spellings and extension activity do not have to come back to school, they are given to support the learning of the new spellings.
The children have been allocated their homework for this half term which has been sent home in their new homework books. Maths and English homework is compulsory. From the remaining 10 homework options, they must complete 5 - totalling 7 altogether. Children may complete all of the tasks if they wish and can hand it in before the deadline. If any problems arise, please come and ask.
Homework is due on Monday 21st October 2019
The children have been assessed on their reading level and reading journals will be issued on Friday 13th September. Children are expected to read at least 3 but preferably 5 times a week at home.
Reading journals will be checked every Friday but it is important to bring the journals to school every day.
