Children come to school in PE kits. Please remove earring on PE days. Hair should be tied back. Please remember to wear the correct PE kit, especially long trousers and school PE jumper as it's very cold.
New spellings will be handed out on Friday and tested the following Friday. The spellings and extension activity do not have to come back to school, these are given to support the learning of the new spellings.
The children have been allocated their homework for this half term which has been sent home in their new homework books. Maths and English homework is compulsory. From the remaining 10 homework options, they must complete 5 - totalling 7 altogether. Children may complete all of the tasks if they wish and can hand it in before or on Friday 27th March 2020. If any problems arise, please come and ask.
Children are expected to read 3 times a week at home. Reading journals will be checked every Friday but it is important to bring the journals to school every day. Golden Tickets will be awarded to children who have read 3 or more times at home every week. Children can read their library book and home books too. Please make one of the reads per week their individually assessed school book.
There will be an extra reward for the class who has read the most over Spring 1 so let's not live up to our 'snail' name where reading is concerned and read lots to win the reward. The reward is based on how many children in the class complete 3 reads or more each week SO every class individual counts!
