Our trip to the Verulamium Museum
On Thursday 2nd December, Year 4 set off on an exciting trip to the Verulamium Museum in St Albans.
After a very excitable bus trip, we arrived safely ready to split up into the two different classes.
4A were the first to take part in their workshop whilst 4B explored the museum.
During the session, the children were able to dress up in tunics and handle different artefacts that would have been sold at a Roman market. The children had a number of items on their shopping lists that they had to identify from each stall and it's safe to say, some were definitely easier to identify than others!
Exploring the museum allowed each class to see a vast array of genuine artefacts including many cooking utensils, pieces of jewellery, coins and even mosaics! It was an incredibly successful trip and the children loved all of it.
